Merchant Account/Gateway Recommendations

I am in the market for a merchant account / payment gateway solution. I have used several in the past for clients, but have not purchased one for myself. Does anyone have a recommendation for either a Merchant Account supplier or Payment Gateway provider (or both)?

    Brain,

    I’m also looking for a merchant account / gateway solution for a low volume website. We currently process our CC orders offline which is cheaper but slower and real pain. I’d love to hear who you end up going with and why.

    I’ve used and am a big fan of ECHO (http://www.echo-inc.com.)

    Used them for years, no problems, cheap.

    I use Authorize.NET which, until the last couple of days, has worked out great. (They have been the victim of DDoS attacks.)
