About This Weblog
December 6th, 2002
Well, I decided that it was time to overhaul my personal website, and in rethinking the best way to do it, I decided that I would re-focus the site on topics that I am interested in.
I had toyed with blogger before, but that was either just a passing fancy or I just didn’t have the time to keep it current. One thing that I didn’t like about it was that the posts were just inane ramblings that belonged in a journal rather than a public weblog. The idea to use my personal website as a weblog about things I am interested in came when I ran across Phil Windley’s Enterprise Computing Weblog. Phil Windley is the (now) former CIO of the State of Utah.
From reading Phil’s weblog, and others like his, I realize that I have much less experience and therefore less to say on these subjects, but if the views I express on my weblog, benefit no one other than myself, I will consider it a worthwhile pursuit. There is something about writing your thoughts that helps to solidify them.
