Personal Background

Brian Sweeting resides in Lehi, Utah with his wife KayeLynne, daughters: Maya (2) and Elin (1 month), and Golden Retriever Dax. He grew up in Fillmore, Utah and graduated from Millard High School in 1995. After High School, Brian attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah for one year, and then served a mission for the LDS Church in the Tennessee/Kentucky area from 1996-1998. In 2004 he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Utah Valley State College.

Professional Background

Brian Sweeting is a web developer, technophile, and evangelist of web standards. He has been building stuff for the web since 1998. In 2001, he saw the light and decided to start a weblog with topics on web design, technology, development, and his favorite computer company—Apple. It was also at this time, that he was first introduced to web standards and CSS for things other than styling text. Since that time he has not looked back on the old “tabled-riddled” method of building websites, and has been a staunch advocate of using semantic markup and doing things the “right” way when it comes to designing and developing websites and applications.
